The San Diego Breast Cancer Fundraiser is a premier event in San Diego, CA that promotes the importance of breast cancer research and awareness. It’s an SD extravaganza held each Spring and is founded on 3 core principles:

1) To increase awareness and inspire philanthropic involvement among a community of young adults

2) To raise money for credible organizations who focus on findng a cure for breast cancer

3) To honor local breast cancer fighers and survivors

Today breast cancer is still the leading cause of death for women ages 40-59, and it is the leading cancer among all American women, the majority of whom have no risk factors. In 2008 an estimated 182,460 women and 1,990 men in the U.S. alone were diagnosed with invasive breast cancer.

Proceeds from this year’s event are donated to the San Diego Affiliate of Susan G. Komen For the Cure.
